We have been asked many times if we could organise an all day real dig, on a real permission. Well, here it is!

Six hours metal detecting with Paddy on his brand new permission. This is undetected land (as far as we know!) in a small village dating back to the 14th Century. Paddy’s short recce of the site proved promising so who knows what could be in those fields!

You will spend the day on this site detecting the land as much or as little as you like. Bring a packed lunch, plenty of water & maybe a flask of tea but be prepared to find a bush! There are no facilities on site. Maximum three people for the day. We want you to get the best experience & Paddy to have time to assist you as required so we are limiting spaces. Paddy will also be detecting so he can share his knowledge & expertise throughout the day.

What happens on the day:

9:30am Arrive at Fun Detectors

9:40am Andy will drive you & Paddy to the permission.

10am Paddy will run through using the metal detector.

10:15am ish Off you go!

Lunch as & when as a group you decide to break.

3:30pm Andy will return. He’ll be VERY keen to see all your finds so time to sit down and show off your treasures. Paddy if he hasn’t already will help identify everyone’s finds.

4pm Andy will drive you back to the Fun Detectors site where your day will finish.

We provide all the equipment you need but if you have your own detector & kit of course you can bring that along to use.
